Our Reception

Our reception will be held at Royal Cliff Banquet Hall, located in Eagan, Minnesota. The hall will be open immediately following the ceremony for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. Dinner will be served around 5:30 pm.

The address is:
2280 Cliff Road

Eagan, MN 55122

Tables

Our round tables will seat 10 people each, so we will have between 30 and 40 tables. We are going to have white basic chair "bags" (chair covers for large chairs) with a dark purple organza sash around them. We are also going to have white tablecloths on all of the tables, but half of the tables are going to have dark purple organza overlays with a white organza table runner and the other half are going to have white organza overlays with a dark purple organza table runner. Similar to the pictures below! I am really excited about our linens! We are using Memory Makers Decor :) Corinne rocks!

Centerpieces

We haven't completely figured out what we are going to do yet but flowers will definitely be the main part of our centerpieces. We are going to have several different types of centerpieces using different vases/candles/etc. However they will all include purple, green, and/or ivory hydrangeas :) My mom made a few samples so we could play with the hydrangeas!

Ceiling Drapery

We picked this reception site because it was one of the only places in the area that could accommodate our number of guests. It is a large, amazing hall, but we felt that it needed a little something to make it more romantic. So we are going to have ceiling drapery with toole and lights. We are also going to have the drapery/ lights down the wall behind the head table and also around the head table and cake table (and possibly the guest book table and present table). We are using Memory Makers Decor for this as well :)

Cake

My MOH, Shanna, is going to be making our wedding cake. We want a small wedding cake and then we will provide a variety types of sheet cake for our guests. We are shooting for a 2-tier cake with white fondant, with dark purple ribbons around each tier, and flowers somehow included as well. We do not have a cake stand or serving utensils picked out yet. We are thinking red velvet for the flavor, but haven't officially decided yet. This is a picture of our inspiration for our wedding cake.

Guest Book

We have decided to do something a little different for our guest book and I am incredibly excited about it. We wanted something that we would be happy to display on our coffee table at our house, instead of the standard guest book. So we decided to enlist the Photo Guest Book Services of Memory Makers Decor. Basically they will photograph our guests (as they arrive), print out the picture immediately, and paste it to a pretty piece of paper. Then the guests will autograph their page. At the end of the night, Memory Makers Decor will assemble all of the pictures into a 12"x12" album for us. I think that this is a fun alternative to the traditional guest book, and it is about 1/3 the cost of the Traveling Photo Booths that I was also interested in.

Guest Favors

We are going to make t-shirts for our guest favors. My father owns some silk-screening machines so it will be fairly inexpensive to do. We have made t-shirts for my sisters graduation party and my graduation party, so it is kind of a long-running joke with our family and friends. We haven't fully designed them yet, but they will probably have one of our engagement pictures on the front along with our wedding date and a catchy saying of some sort. They will also serve as our place cards and we will probably tie a ribbon with a sticker around them or something like that :)

Table Number Luminaries

We made our own table number luminaries! We bought 9" vases from Dollar Tree. We wrapped vellum (with table numbers printed on them) around the vases and wrap ribbon around the top and the bottom.
